hi

I'm looking for stereo amp for my monitor audio rs6 loudspeakers.

i'm thinking about old cyrus6, marantz 8003, rotel 1520, cambridge audio 840 or yamaha a-s1000. Which from them will be the best for my loudspeakers. Maybe is not worth buy that expensive amp and I should by nad 326 or 355, c-a 650, marantz 6003 or 7003 my room -30m2. I listen to all type of music.

thank you.

Hi:

IMO, please avoid Cyrus, Rotel, Naim, could sound bright and unpleasant.

Having said that, the CA 840 v1/v2 or the 8003 is a very good match for the RS6 - I would suggest the 840.

If you have budget for 840 and 8003, go for it. The RS6 needs better amps to drive them.

ear:do you think they dont sound good with the ca640?

After using 640+RS6 combo for more than a year, I can safely say the 640 is very underpowered for the RS6. I guess 740/840 can have a good grip of the RS6. IMO.

I'm currently testing a Creek Evo 2 and the synergy is fabulous. As regards Cyrus, yes depending on your source. When I tested the 8VS2 on my system it sounded really top notch.

A budget Nad will drive RS6s well, unless you live in a converted barn. Personally, I would look at the high end Arcam DIVA range, like A85 or A90. Perfect. Alternatively, Roksan Kandy has really good synergy with RS6, also Exposure 2010S will work well.

Yup; as above, a decent Arcam amp would be very good with the M/A RS6's (i.e. Arcam A85, Alpha 10 or A32 via eBay)

If you want new then I'd highly suggest the NAD C355BEE integrated; superb amp and would drive the M/A RS6's with ease

Personally I dont feel C/A amps do as good a job with the M/A RS6's as the Arcam or NAD amps do; to me they sounded a bit thin and clinical.

It would be handy to know what music you generally listen to and also what your source is?

I first used a Creek Evo with mine and it sounded brilliant. I was forced to change and I got my 840A v1. This is an even better amp and contrary to what some people say, they match up great. For the record, I use the balanced connection from amp to DAC.

Hi tomaszurb

I have mine connected to a NAD 352 and it sounds really clean and detailed. I am really happy with the sound.
