Best 40-46 inch set for Hd gaming and Sky Hd viewing?

Am Going to Have Sky HD on a great half price deal through work later this month [] ,also i will be playing a lot of PS 3 games on it.

So i need to upgrade my 8 year old Pana Acuity 32 CRT set

.Any reccomendations from the experts on here would be greatly appreciated

Budget is £1500 tops, Size would be 40-46" i think as i sit about 6-7ft away from the screen if thats the correct size im looking for?

Not intrested in 3D but if it comes with that would b a pleasent bonus but not essential. .

Sony stores are offering 46HX713 @1799.00 less 200 with trade-in. Just a bit over but I was very impressed at PQ and Motion. Its also 3D if your into that!
