Beginner - need basic surround sound advice

Hi all,

Hoping to get some basic advice as I'm a beginner to surround sound.

I have a budget of up to 1.5k and am looking for surround sound to work with my tv, ps3, sky and music from laptop/iPhone.

Performance more of a priority than size.

Thoughts?

Walk into a couple of good dealers. Get some basic suggestions and have a listen. Then come back for some suggestions. And read WHF ofcourse.
