Heard these today. Sound pretty good.

Would cost £270

Can I get better for the price

You would do well to get worse for £270 to be honest.

Realistically if you want good sound quality and good value then avoid Beats like the plague, there are so many better headphones out there for half that price.

I have a pair of stax ear speakers which are great with classical and jazz, however, would like a pair of headphones up to £300 for dance and rock music. recomendations would be appreciated

The best I have heard at that price is the Shure SRH-840. My second choice is the Thinksound ON1, then the Yamaha MT220.

Or the AIAIAI TMA-1 series of headphones. Ideal for dance and rock.
