band on the run 96/24 - which version ?

just want some advice... i'm just after the one one song in hd audio of band on the run ... teh title song ....but which version is the best ? the compressed or un-compressed

i'm hovering on teh purchase key but cant decidde .. anyone got either of these versions and can offer assistance ?

Depends what you're after, the compressed version is "louder" but the uncompressed version has greater dynamics and is supposed to be exactly like the master tapes.

Vinyl version is brilliant - just picked up a mint condition one myself.

Just wonder if it isn't time the critics started re-assessing the Paul McCartney solo stuff - some of it has stood up well to the test of time.

Well said sir! You know two of my favourites are actually the last two which I think is pretty marvellous considering how many years he`s been writing songs.

I have many of his albums in 24/96 and they are superb. Particular favourites are Tug Of War and Pipes Of Peace.... sound amazing
