Assuming the whole circuit is fully balanced, how long does a "long run" need to be before balanced XLR-XLR cables outperform unbalanced RCA-RCA phono interconnects?
Or, how long can RCA-RCA interconnects run before they pick up noise? How about more expensive RCA phono interconnects (from say, Chord Co or VdH, for example)?
Are cheaper balanced cables able to outperform more expensive unbalanced interconnects?
Are long, more expensive 2XLR cables from Chord and VdH etc a worthwhile upgrade in such a situation?
