balanced connections

last day of work and then 2 weeks on olydays in sardinia lostening to my dads pathos if he asent sold it yet
is there such athing as balanced y adapters to byamp
I'm having a pair of Anthem 2's made in a Y format(havn't asked how much though,I'll sort that when they are installed)

it seems the y shaped cables for bi-amping could be better for sound quality......a sealed bi-amp box with 1 input and 2 outputs was better to my ears.

What, like these you mean?
you are the man but now the question raises balaced or unbalanced connections wats the difference and the pros and cons please be so kind to explain

Very simple version - most conventional connections use the main core for the + conductor and the - as the shield, whereas balanced connections have separate + and - conductors, each with their own shield, hence the third pin.

They thus offer better interference rejection, as anything picked up on the + will also be picked up on the -, thus self-cancelling.

As I said, the very simple version...

this meand that thy give less interference but not explicitly better sound
