WOW....

OK it was on the inlaws' 60" Sony not my own system, but it totally blew me away watching it on Christmas Day. Without hesitation the BEST Blu Ray I have ever seen. I loved the fact the film's not been added to – not a director's cut or any stupid CGI additions but 'just' cleaned up.

Picture quality was amazing and awesome sound. Can't wait to see the other two, but they're only going to be on my small telly...

Last time I saw it that good was at the flicks in '85 when, as 15 year old, we subsequently jumped in my mate's mum's Volvo and took it in turns towing each other around on a skateboard!

Totally agree

it's brilliant.

I had read some reviews in other mags that gave it 3 stars - yeah right.

I have watched all of them about 4 times now and can't wait too watch them again.

I've been watching these recently on sky's movie channel, only 1080i, but I was really impressed with the detail in them, I might rent the blu ray from love film, if they are that good.

Unfortunately I never got to see them at the cinema, but having seen them on Bluray, on a decent projector, that doesn't matter. The Bluray release for the trilogy is stunning, and should already be in the collection of fans of the films.
