B&W PX8 S2 headphones review

Yes, it does seem to be for charging, shame, don’t get in how that results in better performance perhaps they are talking about the USB jack cable then?

Ah, yes I see it does include a USB-C to 3.5mm jack cable as well....so you can actually connect them to a DAP or anything with a built in headphone amp.
Just spoken to B&W chat and it will make a wired connection but you have to use this:

So looking on B&W website again I think I can use my B&W PX8 the same way:

I just need the above adaptor?

B&W have totally ditched wired headphones.

Focal do these: https://www.avforums.com/reviews/focal-hadenys-headphone-review.22181/
I love the design integrity and quality of construction of the Focal headphones. The Elegia's I use to own, were an eye stopper when I got on the train.
Crocodile Dundee comes to mind, I see some commuters staring, particularly the cool brigade with their tinny wireless headphones.....Nah that's not a knife...

Dynamic closed back headphones can sound pretty good, planars on the other hand very difficult to design good sounding closed backs, Sundara? A few maybe?

I commute with my FiiO FT1's cans, these closed backs, are like the Fosi's of the headphone world, excellent sounding, why waste your money on inferior Bluetooth headphones, not unless you prefer the convenience of not having wires dangling around your neck. Changing the batteries every two weeks is not only bothersome and costly, it's also adds toxicity to the environment.

Why do you have to change the batteries? Don’t you just simply charge them?

OK 😊 The last time I owed one was yonks, when batteries were the norm!

Rechargeable, it's much kinder to the environment; are these still as effective and long lasting in 5 years time?
I'm sort of using mobile battery longevity rule. When I first got my OnePlus phone, a charge would last a day and half on full usage and now, I have to charge everyday.
Granted you don't use your wireless headphone continuously like your phone, so I'm probably gathering too much hay.

Not a great fan at the moment but who knows, if the sound quality improves with the advancements in technology, I may warm to it. 🙂
