Hi everyone. This is my first post here so please be patient with me!
I'm contemplating buying one of the B&W MT25 home cinema systems. I already have an Onkyo TX SR 507 AV amp that I'm driving an old set of Sony 5.1 speakers with. It's these speakers that I'm looking to replace with the B&W MT 25 ones.
I use the system for mainly watching films and live music (all via DVD - not Blue Ray) - no gaming at all.
I have asked my local HiFi specialist shop to supply the system. They've told me that my existing wiring of 72 strand stuff will be ok but that I might consider upgrading the wiring for the front speakers at some point.
I live in a 1930's house that has the original picture rails on the wall and I will be looking to mount the speakers at around this level so that they would be more or less downward firing.
I'd be very grateful if some of you could give me some advice on any of the above before I take the plunge. I've been waiting to get the speakers for sometime as it's a pretty big purchase for me so I don't want to make a mistake! Thanks.
Adrian.
