Hi, I am buying a gift for my dad. But I really dont know much about HiFi. Can I use the B&W 685 for Denon DM37?

Denon's own speakers are a good bet, or other recommendations from WHF.
Denon quote 30w / channel at 6 ohms.
B&W rate the 685s at 30w at 8 ohms.
I'm using an Arcam Solo Mini with the 685s - and they just cut it, if it was less powerful it would not (rated at a conservative 25w / channel at 8 ohms).
I would gather then, in real terms, the DM37 is less powerful than the Solo Mini.
Why not check out the Monitor Audio RX1 (a bit pricey) or KEF iQ30?
