B&W 685 and ASW608, best amp to drive?

Hi All,

recently purchased the speakers, am currently running off the Dussun T2 amp/DAC

volume, soundstage and clarity not the best (comparing to my housemate who runs'em with rega brio3)

i'm looking for an amplifier that can make the best out of the speakers.

i'm currently in dilemma of what the spending ratio should be for speakers / amplification, i've been waiting for the kandy k2 to officially be available in australia and i've got a deal for a used plinius 9100.

that being said, what spending on the Roksan K2 or Plinius 9100 be a stupid choice? since i'm only running a pair of 685's and asw608 sub.

Plinius 9100 + BW 685's = Waste of Money??

Plinus will drive 685's well. But it deserve much better speakers. Roksan Kandy MKIII, or K2 is a good amp. for 685's. I am driving my 683's with Kandy and they are excellent. But if you buy Plinus at the same price, buy Plinus of course..

To be honest would the 685's even be capable enough to show the benefit of having the Plinius?! As good as they are (I love my 685's!) I suspect probably not.

But if the Plinius is the same price then I'd see it as a good excuse to upgrade the speakers a little later on to even things out a little.
