I have another thread here looking for an AVR for my setup, but some people have opened my eyes to the possibility of getting a cheaper AVR for movies and in addition get an integrated amp with HT-bypass...

What would be your recommendation for my setup with RX8 floorstanders and center?

Why restrict your choice to an integrated amp with HT-bypass, what's wrong with an integrated amp without the HT-bypass.

Well, want to be able to play surround sound also via the same setup.

What do you mean exactly?

You can use any stereo intergrated amp,it doesn't have to have HT bypass.

It just means, that when you use an amp without this function, when you do the initial set up, you choose a memorable volume on the stereo amp(say 10 or 12 o clock), then when using A/V you have to set this volume manually on the stereo amp!
