Availability of Pioneer LX5090

Hi

Thinking of getting one of these screens - especially at the prices they now seem to be going for. Question is - is there much stock around? Asking as I'm not sure if I should try ang get it before or after Christmas.

There is stock around although Pioneer are all out. We still have some left with Monday our last shipping date. The next batch should be with us and the rest of the Pioneer dealers mid Janaury.

Yep, I spoke to Pioneer earlier, and they've had real trouble meeting demand since the price-cuts started! They confirmed last stock this year will hit shops any day.....

HiSpek have these models in stock (supposedly) for £1879.99 with 5yrs free warranty

though that is only instore (free warranty)

With the price cuts already in place I would not imagine that the price will be coming down again after Christmas. It would be up to individual dealers to offer any price reduction but with demand still very strong I cant imagine you will see much of a reduction from any of the authorised dealers.

If anything, i'd expect prices of a lot of Japanese kit to stabilise if not increase (both Yamaha and Sony have announced prices will go up in January), due to the financial/currency situ.

Sevenoaks also has the Kuro 5090 for £1899 with five-year warranty, BTW....
