AV receiver with Turntable

I have started building a record collection. Some of it from my grandfather and also planning to buy a pro-Ject debut Carbon Espirit turntable.

currently I have a Yamaha RX V-677 av receiver. My question is would it be possible to pair the pro-ject with this receiver and get true quality sounds. And for speakers I have a KEF kht 2005.2 speaker system

Welcome to the forum. You'll need one extra piece of equipment, I think, in the form of a phono preamp. Connect turntable to this then preamp to one of the analogue audio inputs on the V-677.
