I have stated tt on a Cyrus 6XPD, Neat Iota speakers in a small room. I also have managed to snag a Rega Fono mm pre amp and wonder if an upgrade to a Rega TT would make a difference- budget up to £800 or so

An upgrade of the turntable and, more specifically the cartridge / tonearm combination, will certainly make a difference.
For that budget you might look very hard at the Pro-ject Debut Pro

Use distance selling regulations if you are in those sort of areas of indeed Ireland.
