I am considering building a pc for music. it must be able to play flac. also ALL freq 44 48 88 96 176 192. /24

what is the best sound card for this job either with digital coax or optical on it.

it will be conected to a cyrus 8xpd qx, i have been told that the sound card needs to be not just able to pass 192/24 as this is no gaurentee that other freq will pass to the cyrus.

i have some downloaded tracks in 88 and 176 when i play them through my cyrus it says 192 . so im puzzeld.

If you're into music playback, i recommend taking a look at the ESI Juli@. It comes with a balanced output, great sound and clarity.

Could be that the the mixer s/w on your current PC/mac is resampling to a fixed rate. It's one of the major challenges with an 'audiophile' PC to get bit-perfect output.
