Audiolab 8000s are go!

Just to let you all know - as several of you have asked - that the Audiolab pre/power combo
(8000AP processor/8000X7 power amp) will be the shops shortly, and our review will appear in the January issue, on sale December 13th.

Sorry, last-minute technical problems with our test sample.

Very frustrating - but we're not happy to run reviews until we've tested every element of a product's performance.

No slur whatsoever on Audiolab - just a teething issue unable to be resolved on our particular early-production-sample. It happens sometimes: just unfortunate to happen on such an anticipated product...

I'll update you as soon as I know when we're publishing the review.

Thank you for getting back to us and letting us know. Would it be possible for the review to (qualitatively) compare the result to the equivalently value integrated amplifier solutions?

I think many of us would be interested to know which gives a better audio (e.g. CD playback) and video sound.
