can the chord be detached from the headphones or is it a fixed cable?

been trying to find out but no photo or review proves conclusively.

There is nothing in any of AT's information to suggest the cable is user-removable. It may, however, be possible for an AT service centre to replace a faulty cable.

thanks. was actually looking into getting some and i prefer the idea of having a detatchable cable rather than a fixed one, tis all.

I'm pretty sure if it was, AT would be making a point of the fact, as it does on some pro models. But even these require some disassembly to replace the cable, if memory serves.
