Has anyone else had this problem?- I randomly get audio dropping in and out like old Stan Bordman (was it)? with his cutting out .ic.ro..one gag. I think it only happens with my BT Vision box over HDMI. Haven't done any long checks with other sources but does't seem to do it with other kit. Vision box is ok when connected directly to TV so is obviously a problem with the AVR, as if it is losing lock or something. I suspect if I take it back though, they won't find any problems, or just say it's incompatible. Not having much luck with my gear at the moment, the TV's been out of service for six weeks and at the 'menders' for two (lots of headaches proving to Samsung that I bought it in March last year) waiting for a motherboard. So I hope my new Pioneer doesn't have to go back now.

Oh, off subject, I know but does anyone know how to have the sub working in stereo with the LX81? Like others I'm getting used to the brighter sound, but my front speakers could still use some help in the bass department

On the amp issue don't know anything about the drop off issue, but with regard to the bass do you have your front speakers set to small or large?

To get the sub to work in stereo/pro logic, you need to go into the speaker settings and where it says yes for the sub change that to plus.
N.B you may find the bass level a bit high for music, what I have done is found a level I like for stereo and then put it back to the level set when calibrated for movies.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Del, I'll try that in a minute!

As for you other helpful guys, thanks for straightening out the mic gag bloke- I was losing sleep over that one. Ahem.. Doesn't really help my receiver problem though, now does it. Come on, pull yourselves togetherÿ. How did he ever make a career out of that anyway!ÿ

No SENSIBLE ideas about my stuttering sound, anyone.ÿ

Disclaimer: all comments to be taken with a big pinch of salt (except the thanks, DEL)!ÿ

Edit: Sorry, Johnny, you did reign yourself in and try to be helpful in the end. I do have my fronts set to large, though. (No jokes about how I worded that one either)
