ATC P1 vs SPA2-150

Just wondering does anybody know the difference between these 2 power amps?

Same 150w/ch power handling but a massive price difference and different chassi.

While the P1 and SPA2-150 are rated at the same power of 150w/ch however the quality of the SPA2-150's 150 watts are significantly better than the P1's. Therefore the SPA2-150 performs better and drive speakers more effectively than the already superb P1. The fit, finish and build on the SPA2-150 is also better than on the P1.

Btw, the SPA2-150 is one of my favourite power amps and it works a treat with the magnificent ATC's SCA2 pre amplifier.

I am currently setting up a hifi for my office. I looked at the ATC. I actually thought the P1 was a newer version of the SPA2-150 (with its retro looks).

I'm planing to buy either ATC P1 or SPA2-150 power amplifiers. I don't know which one to choose? (I don't have a chance to try before buying)

You say latter performs better, in which way?:

soundstage (wide-deep)

image stability (small-big)

musicality (clinical or warm)

tonality (percusion-string instruments)

treble extension-bass control
