Define silly money as this sort of ' do vinyl on the cheap ' doesn't work, in my opinion
Change the cartridge as that's where the money isn't spent.

What cartridge do you have currently, and what’s in the Rega Planar?

If it’s the standard VM95E then a stylus from further up the range will sound more refined. But I agree with Al, it might be better to put the funds towards a better turntable.

I was wondering why two turntables? Perhaps better to sell both and buy a second-hand improvement?

I have had the Rega for years got the AT to convert my Vinyl to CD .

Both are standard i think ive damaged the AT one grrr 🙈

will plug this in to the PM6005 i have AT plugged in the PM7000N .Need too reset the arm settings on this GRRR!
