Are the KEF Wireless 2 seriously better than Wireless 1 pair?

I had the Meta 2 Wireless and compared them directly with the originals at point of purchase. At the time there were not the great discounts available as there are now so just went with the newer model.

Differences were very small and imho not nearly as big as many reviewers made out. No great surprise there.

If you can get the Metas Wireless at a good price, go for it. Otherwise pick a heavily discounted pair of originals if you can still find them.

There are a couple of App differences.

Thanks mate! That’s just what I needed to hear. 👍

I’m sure the above is true today. I’d consider how long you might keep them, and how much support KEF are giving the mark 1 app. If they lose interest, it might soon become a bit of an issue.
Ok, thanks. 👍 Decided not to get them.

There are major app differences - in usability and features. That said, if things like MQA are not important then the mk1 may be a good buy. But KEF has made significant changes to the streaming platform.

Differences are minimal. The speakers are almost identical in size and design so expect an almost identical performance, or at best some very subtle differences.
