Are speaker stands a standard size?

Hey, are speaker stands a standard size, because I have measured the indented square in the bottom of my KEF celeste IIIs and it is around 16cmx16cm (with a small hole in each corner) and i was wondering if this would fit perfectly on to a pair of Partington Super Dreadnoughts, which in the tech specs say are around that size. Would it be a coincidence if it fit perfectly, or is this a standard size for speakers and stands?

Coincidence....check out other makes of stands and you will find they are all different sizes

This why blue tac keeps cropping up when stands are recommended. It makes for a secure bond between speaker and stand.
