Are Blu-ray players dead?

+1 my Panasonic 4K 58" 902B is a first class upscaler of dvds and Bluray discsand great with SD Tv too.I also have a Samsung 8500 4k player hooked up as well,which is backwards compatible with all sources.

In my experience, the 4K TVs are absolutely brilliant upscalers themselves.

my LG is ok but my Samsung player is way better.i can't tell the difference between 4k blu ray and normal blu ray (i don't have hdr).I have also tried Amazon's prime on TV and blu ray and again the blu ray player is way better
