Also with regards to the atlas hyper 2, do I get bi wire or go for the single lengths? Also I currently use no connectors so I guess it's best to leave the ends with no connectors or plugs?

I'm sorry if this question is obvious, but I need to check (there is often confusion)....Are you definately BI-AMPING as opposed to BI-WIRING. In order to Bi-Amp, you need to connect the 2 (normally) spare rear surround amps into the front left and right speakers; and then set the menu to the bi-amp setting.
Bi-Wiring has 2 plugs on the amp end (for front L or R) and 4 plugs at the speaker end.

For easy connection I would be looking to have them terminated.

I will reply in more detail when I get home from work.

hi yes i am definatley BI AMPING.

channel 1+2 going into either hi or low then channel 6+7 doing the opposite.

Amp is set to BI AMP.

So would i need the atlas bi amp cable?

Chord Company Chameleon better buy than the Linn? looks to be great for bass which is what my setup needs.

I looked at it ages ago but the arcam rDAC could be worth a look to improve the CD quality by alot!?

Sorry for the question, but it was worth checking.

To use the Hyper 2 for biamping, you have 2 choices. You can get the Bi-Wire version with 4 plugs on each end....just make sure the "tails" are long enough to reach and the separate Bass and Treble wires go to the correct place (this way is a bit cheaper). The other is getting 2 sets of the standard version.
Here is Big Chris's description in an earlier thread (Post 9 & 12 nb Bass was much improved):

I would avoid any silver-coated cables, which I believe the Chameleon to be. The Linn Black is a "no nonsense" copper cable that sounds musical (to get it at £15 may takes a bit of watching). The Linn Silver is much better, but is a lot more money (the silver refers to the outside colour). Here are some examples:

or (not bad value as postage included)

or the Silver

I think looking at an rDac to improve CD playback would be an excellent idea (it made an improvement on another member's DV139)...though you would need a home demo to make sure.

I'm afraid that you need 4 plugs on both ends....your example is bi-wire only ie. 2 plugs on amp end and 4 plugs on speaker end...so not suitable.

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking about the interconnects (Linn Blacks?)....are you saying that you can get new ones at the price of 2nd hand, or are you asking if it's worth the extra to buy new?

Edit. This is what I'm talking about:

Sorry i'll make sense of that last comment.

I can get the Altas bi wire cable here for £25 a meter

http://www.futureshop.co.uk/atlas-hyper-biwire-speaker-cable-p-2063.html

So 4m would be £100. The ebay listing you sent are going for £149? Because of the ends on the cable? Is that for ease of changing speakers alot.

I would rather pay less and spend a bit of time fitting the cable.

Is there i difference in sound? I guess going bare wire would be better.

Is that the correct cable from future shop???

Is the bi-wire cable the same as hyper 2???

- The termination plugs are purely for ease of connection, and prevents oxidation....provided you trap all the wires, sound quality is every bit as good (if not better).

- I am assuming the bare cable has 4 wires each end...but a phone call can confirm. When connecting up, the smaller wire is for the hi frequency (which I think comes from the rear L & R amps).

- Yes, you need to select the Bi-wire option.

- The Hyper 2 is the version that is the standard version with a 2mm cross section of copper. The Hyper 3 has 3mm. The bi-wire mixes thickness for treble (thin) and bass (thicker).
