Based on review I read from What Hi-Fi, I am interested in purchasing Arcam Solo Music. I have a little problem comparing the speakers because in Toronto-Canada I could not find a strore that carry both Arcam and B&W speakers. Much appreciate if somebody could give me direction where to go, Muso/ Logo 2.1 or B&W 685 + ASW 610. All of them got 5 stars.

Any other speaker suggestion is also helping me a lot.

My favourite music to listen is Easy/ sweet jazz, classical music and new age music from Narada. My living room is around 4X6 meter. What I need is a compact system with compact speakers but not "compact sound"

Thanks

Ivan

Welcome, fellow North American.

Is ipod connectivity the reason you are interested in Arcam Solo? Based on your budget and musical preference, I believe we can do much better than the Solo and the 685's.

Usher S520 is my personal favorite in that price range and also the entry level Totem's are stellar.

If you are absolutely in love with the B&W's then the Arcam just won't cut it. Those speakers demand power and like to be played loud.

If you are stuck with the Arcam, then try to find more efficient speakers.

Here's how I would do it: Music Hall CD25.2, Rotel RA04, and Usher S520

Should come well under $1500
