Arcam receiver no longer working

It worked for a few seconds, then i turned the volume down and it shut itaelf off. now the relays click and the screen flashes whenever i try to turn it back on. Any help would be appreciated. I can link a youtube video showing the problem if needed.

Did anything change recently, e.g. did you move the speaker wires, or connect anything new? How old is the Arcam?

Check the manual - is there a reset procedure?

Kit doesn’t last forever, so it depends on its value if it’s worth repairing.

i had picked the amp up off of ebay for ~£130 (a what wouldve been a bargain) not even 2 hours prior, plugged it into the wall with nothing else on any input or output, it turned on for about 5 seconds, then completely dies after i turn the volume knob. needless to say i got a full refund from the chap on ebay.

Ah, ok. Well not all amps like being turned on without speakers connected, but that’s rarely an issue for a a short while. Most likely ok when shipped but something broke in transit.
