ARCAM AVR500 AUDIO PROBLEMS

Hello. I've had arcam AVR500 for a few months now but suddenly it has started to do strange things with audio. For example, it plays music way too loud while the dialogue is too silent. Then, when there's an indoor scene, the people's voice echoes very horribly, it doesn't even sound realistic. And, all the background sounds are very loud. For example, in one scene in Band of Brothers, the dialogue that has subtitles are almost impossible to hear because some people outside the screen are talking much louder. What is this? Does anyone else have the same problems? What can I do to about this?

Sorry to hear about your problems, but you are not alone.....if you don't get an answer, give Matt at Arcam a ring (rather than email).

It may have something to do with Dolby Volume....if you have it switched on, what have you got it set at. Try with it off and see if the problem is still there.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with the 500. I've also been there and done that till enough was enough. I agree with Cno. Check your Dolby volume settings it sounds like the problem may be linked to this. If not call Matt at ARCAM.
