MY mates been offered one on swapz for his alpha 9 (which is now fixed) Is this a good deal? Will it sound better/worse and will it be less likely to overheat? (I think it has a fan).

Am I right in thnking its a win win, if he doesn't like it he can sell on the bay it for more than the alpha? Tanks for any help, as I have previously stated I have NO clue about avr's...

should note its to be used in 2 channnel only ever, with valdus 500's.

I have used AVR 200 but not Alpha9. The stereo performance of the amp is not to be compared to any of the stereo amp even the likes of Denon 510 I was using intermittent. I guess Alpha 9 beats the Denon.. If it is to be sold on eBay then a different story!
