Arcam A70 power amplifier

I was wondering if I was able to use arcam's older power amplifiers with my existing a70 in a biamp situation? I have the chance of a very inexpensive 9p and am wondering if it's possible or if the gain levels are different.

Yes, you can bi-amp the A70 using any of Arcam's power amps. The only caveat is if it's a very early Alpha Power amp you may not hear much benefit. I would suggest to hear a decent improvement look at Alpha P8/9/10 or DIVA P75/80.

FWIW, bi-amping Arcams works for me - wakes 'em up and adds deeper bass, sweeter highs, loadsa separation, detail etc, etc

It's an alpha 9 power amplifier so should be good. Cost me 20quid.
