I think it is great that Apple fixes and publish the issue, unlike Micro$oft which keeps issues very quiet.

I would certainly download the Apple patch. I do however, have third party security software on my phone and iPad.

I don't think your third party security software would catch this as apparently you only have to visit a web page and the malicious code gives itself 'kernel' privileges. The kernel sits between the operating system and the hardware and can basically do anything it pleases.....
What worries me is they say the vulnerability has already been exploited by someone... who? and how long ago..?
