apple lossless to iPod will it still be lossless ?

Hi all If I rip all my cds to itunes lossless and then then transfer them to my ipod will it still be lossless thanks for any help :cheers:

Assuming you have ripped in ALAC and haven't ticked the box to automatically convert music to AAC / MP3s when transferred to the iPod, then yes, it will still be lossless.

Yes, unless you tell iTunes to compress them in the process of transferring them. There's an option for this and it's useful if you want to keep your computer library in lossless, but iPhone/iPod lossy compressed to save space. Click around the menus while your iPod is attached and you should find it.

Thanks for the info I want to use my ipod in the car which has a good sound system so I will transfer all music lossless :cheers:
