So, for anyone who burns music CDs to iTunes, receives vital work-related press releases/pics on CD/DVD and doesn't have 24/7 access to fast/reliable broadband, the message is: "Tough s***, mateys!" :hand:
Sorry Apple but I don't want the faffage, and extra expense, of a separate/plug-in optical-drive - so much for the iMac being the 'solution' for a clutter-free desk

The mini's a bit zizz IMO, not because it's not an interesting product, but because they didn't do that Kindle/Nexus bashing thing with the price that some people predicted. Interesting to see them do the Nexus-bashing thing with the hardware though...
In what way is 1024x768 (162dpi) screen resolution nexus hardware bashing? (£269 -16GB)
Nexus 7 has 1280x800 (216dpi) and a quadcore processor. Its also in 16:10 aspect ratio which makes it ideal for watching video. Also the nexus 7 is getting a memory bump to 32GB at no extra cost next week - so (£199 - 32GB)
The Ipad has faster graphics but so what - you cant play games without joystick/buttons. If you want to play games get a Vita.

The only time I use them now is to burn the occasional CD (and to be honest, I don't find myself buying many any more now I've got my Spotify subscription). Yes, I know, some people use them day in and day out - if you do, it's either get an older model, get an external drive or get something else. But it's not really a mainstream requirement any more I'm afraid.
