I've just bought the uhd version on google play but don't see anything on my nexus. Is there a setting I need to change? Phone seems indifferent to what i'm playing even though it's all on same account.

I'm waiting for the price to drop, as twenty five quid is too steep for a not very good film. Not gonna buy it just coz it looks good...
You know when you wish a sequel could be made that is worthy of being called a sequel to a classic movie? This is one of the finest examples you’ll come across. Not without its faults, but of the BR fans I know, none have thought it as anything but excellent.

Well worth £25 - particularly when people seem to be buying a fair amount of rubbish just because it’s 4K (maybe not even that!)

I'm cherry picking my way through the small UHD disc catalogue very carefully, only buying films I know I like and that are confirmed as being a worthy upgrade. To be honest, I've only seen BR2049 on a plane, so only on low res 20" or so screen, but I just didn't think it was all that good.

Maybe that's why? The reviews seem unanimous in their praise (mind you, I haven't watched the film myself....planning to do so next month maybe).

Even at the cinema, I can tell those that have exceptional picture or sound quality - BR2049 was one of them.

Bluray.com gives the UHD 5/5, and audio 4.7/5

I did not particularly find the picture quality of Blade Runner 2049 good on my Sony XE93, espcially the first few scenes just seem dull and washed out. Have to say the sound quality though was ace. On the other hand I found the picture quality of SICARIO to be just jaw dropping good. It seem's to me tone mapping has a lot to do with which HDR content looks good on any particular TV set. *smile*

UHD disc or blu ray?

What would happen to the stock market after Brexit? Although the LSE owns the Milan Exchange and has clearing operations in Paris, it is unclear how much direct access financial firms in Britain will have to EU customers after Brexit.

Gel I have the 'Panasonic TX-50AX802B 4K TV ' and reckon that I will be seeing/watching this movie on it Very Soon mate and cannot wait ! ... :)

The only thing that I can for the forseeable future find myself being perhaps a little annoyed about is that I don't think that my TV does the HDR part of things which may well become a lot better than as of now ? ..... *sad*

Apart from the Matrix, which arrived Monday, Sicario was my last purchase. Only had it on DVD before, so this is a two step upgrade. Probably gonna watch it tonight coz the missus will be out and the volume can go up to man-size!

SUPERB !

Don't get me wrong, the HD looks Great, but the 4K Picture , oh my, yes it DOES MAKE such a Difference, Great Picture !.... AWSOME even !

IF hdr IS so much better, then I for one do not want it....... 4k without the hdr, MY TICKET ! ... :)

Your not wrong there. Most HDR movie content are mastered in 2k because of CGI. Real 4k all the way for me too.
