I've only auditioned the GS20 (by far my favorite speakers).... but I know HiFi World auditioned and loved both the 60 and 20... The auditions were years apart though... As for the differences between the two, as far I know, the GS60's only advantage is deeper bass... so unless you have a very large room and need to really crank up the bass, I'd stick with the GS20....

IMO get the 60s - apart from the cracking deal you have - the more musical information you can get your speakers to do the better. Will sound cleaner at higher volumes - just make sure your amp is up to the job.

May I ask what the price of the 60s are? I have just completed my setup with my only purchase being the Denon DVD 2500. Got the GS60s/ GS10s/ GS LCR all for 1900 in Gloss Black :)

IMO i'd be going for the GS20's; to me thay'd be the right upgrade from your GS10's.

Also; have you considered changing from QED speaker cable to Chord; i did this when i had my M/A RS6 speakers and it made a world of difference!

The GS20's are superb speakers; plenty of gusto and i think would suit your amp well; the GS60's are big speakers and IMO; need hell of a lot of good amplification to make them sing at their best!

I had a listen to the GS60's yesterday funnily enough, and loved them. you get a more three-dimensional soundstage and a more open and detailed sound. "approachable" is the word i would use to describe them;-)

Are you using the 905 as your stereo amp? If so, I would say that the 20s would be better for you.

Hi sorry should have said bought the 10's yesterday for use as my rears using my old speakers in the meantime.ÿ

ÿSpeaker cable wise i do want to change that and was looking at the Atlas Hyper bi wire but had also considered the chord not sure what to go for.

The 20s or 60s would be fronts in my set up would my 905 not be powerful enough for the 60's? Im looking at getting a stereo amp probably the Primare I30 or Quad 909/99p as ive been offered a good deal but was waiting for what i settled on speaker wise!

Ah, you are moving the goalposts! If you get the Primare I30, get the GS60s! The 905, albeit a brilliant AV receiver is not worthy of the GS20s, in my opinion, let alone the GS60s.

If you plan to get the HIFI Amp then defo go for the GS60s. Just make sure your 2 channel (HIFI) amp has a Home Theater throughput to make connecting everything easier. Great price btw

For movies, they will be great if you match with the centre.

I've not heard the Stampede but have read it's good. My RSW12 is a beast and I'm guessing the Gold version is even better!
