hey there,
i've been trying to buy some speaker stands for some scandyna micropod se's (i've got the micropods and the minipods). had a search saved on ebay cause they rarely sell in the UK and cost a bomb when they do.
anyway some came up the other week on ebay and i managed to win them. but now i've received them they don't look how i expected...
here's some pics of what i received.
first, the full body shot:

the top bit where i guess the speaker sits somehow:

and here's the best picture i've found online of what they should look like:

does anyone know what it is that i have bought?
really appreciate your help if anyone has the time to try to help me with this.

when you bid on the item, did you check the photos on the ebay listing? .... and do the stands have a name? (do they have a maker's name on them?)

the stands are totally unmarked - no company names or nothing.

the description on ebay was copied and pasted from the scandyna website, with the pic from the scandyna website too. i'm not worried about being ripped off - the seller is cool and i'm totally covered anyway even if they weren't.

i just wanna find out what these stands are - if they're actually made by Scandyna or by someone else.

bizarrely i can find no decent pictures of scandyna stands on the web. seems mad to me - lots of people must have them. why has noone photographed them?

well the 1st thing to do is to decide if you want to keep them ...

if not, the next step is to politely contact the seller and state your concerns .... hear what the seller has to say, and see if he will accept them back for a refund

A good seller will refund the cost paid plus shipping plus return shipping, if he has erred

If the seller refuses and you really don't wish to keep them, you can instigate a charegeback through paypal/ebay ... this may take up to 28 days to be resolved, and if found in your favour, you will need to send the stands back at your cost, and you will have to send them back with recorded mail/courier

You will get a refund of what you paid (selling price plus initial shipping cost) ... you will however loose out on the cost of return shipping

yes, i understand that. which is why i'm trying to work out if these stands are actually made by Scandyna or not.

the seller already offered me a full refund so there's no worry there.

these might not look how i was expecting, but if they're made by Scandyna and are for micropods or minipods then i'll probably keep them!

cool ... must have misunderstood your post ... am sure someone will advise shortly ... if not, the other option is to email Scandyna with the pics and they should advise
