Anyone experienced the Monitor Audio MR2 or MR4 5.1 AV Package?

It's a gamble as I can't demo really but it's pretty impossible to find a proper review and so wondered had anybody tried it?

Hi all.

A quick look at Monitor audios website shows that the MR2 & MR4 av packages are re-tooled versions of their popular Bronze series of speakers and it just happens that I own a complete set of these to go with my Onyko 818 av amp including a pair of BX6, a BX centre, two pairs of BXFX surrounds, a pair of BX1 for front height effects and two BXW subs.

The sound this setup gives me is excellent with both movies and music, so I'm sure that these re-tooled speakers should as good, maybe even better and I'm certain that What Hifi will get them in for a review sometime soon.

The MR range won't be as good as the BX line, as it doesn't use the same filtered down technology the BX does. You're looking more BR technology, which are still great speakers - I have regular access to a BR system and they still impress now. The MR for the money are excellent, great for those on a budget.
