You have posted the URL for a 'private' photo.

Click on 'all sizes' above your photo in flickr.

Then just under the photo you will see...

"2. Grab the photo's URL:"

Use that one. (It also preserves your anonymity by not telling us your flickr ID in the URL)

chebby can you try this and see if it works

Yes it works but it's the whole page with the photo. (Not just the photo)

Look under the photo after you have clicked on the size you want and look for the URL in the box underneath where it says...

"2. Grab the photo's URL:"

Copy that URL.

That's the one that works (whether it was flagged as private or not) and also does not carry info about your flickr ID.

FYI the correct one is this......

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2743/4523926462_59a582c12f.jpg (note it ends in .jpg)

And here it is resized.....

(Resize by dragging the corners once you have inserted the image into your text.)

thanks alot i could not find the edges to resize. Does everything look ok anyreason why it might sound really bright and forward. is that the amp or the room

sorry to shooter69 its the hifi tried both sets of speakers on the hifi side

dermondo you have nailed it thats what it feels like. almost like the sound is thrown out straight at me but with no width.

Thrown out with no width?

Can you bring a dedicated speaker out off the wall and getting more width between the speakers then have a play around with the toe. Listen to the difference between tweeters pointed directly at your ears and then aimed behind the listening position. If you have a friend with you its easier!

Also reverse polarity on the speaker cable this could give you better definition, my amp/speaker package work best this way.

just swapped the speakers over so my wide speakers are stereo that sounds better i thought it was better to be closer than to wide they are 8ft apart and im 9 1/2 ft of in the middle that seems to made the top end less harsh i just hate my home cinema speakers being that close together now.

would putting my guiter next to right of the tv and the hifi amp/cdplayer and dac next to the left of the tv and then wideing the speakers do any harm

I presume the BR5' are for hi fi playback?
Cant you leave the BR1's in their position as in the picture and put the BR'5' outside those.

could do ill have a play but, would you refix my brackets to left of tv and get the sub and the amp ect up there and then like wise on the right. why could having the speakers to narrow be making them upfront and harsh to listen to? Is it important to get bang on with that triangle thing(hifi fronts).

Speaker positioning is important and can make a world of difference to the set up.

Getting the speakers as far apart as possible in your room would help.

Before you go moving shelfs etc it could be worth experimenting with positioning to find the best spot for your listening. If the best spot is where the shelf are and they can be moved move them.

It would be worth reading the recent thread "Room Dimensions What would you do?" there is a link at the bottom of the first page that would interest you.
