Any John Lewis (Glasgow) PMs for Panny TH37PX80

Hi all, Basically looking for any info anybody could give me for getting a PM on the TH37PX80. I have seen on other topics people mentioning succesful PMs against Empire Direct in Bolton but as there is catchment area of 8 miles I really need to find something in the glasgow area.

Just use English stores for price matching, it can be hard work but you tend to get there in the end.

Empire Direct & Sound & Vision often get JL price matched.

edit I've had two pm phone calls from jl since posting the above, thats four pm's so far. Cant recall which jl was the 1st call, my interest wained with the mention of a £70 delivery charge, the second was from jl cheadle, agreeing to pm Sound and Vision on the 42px80 for £729.92. my pm request was for £729.90 so dunno where the 2p came from, S&V price shifting likely, still it was honoured by jl even tho 2p adrift, they could easily have refused it.

Hi thanks for that. Ive never done a pm before, how should i go about it? Would i phone up the store in cheadle directly? Do i need to give exact details of which S&V store i want them to match?

Sorry i know these probably seem like stupid questions, like i said im not really sure how to go about it

Ive just had a PM by John Lewis on the TH37PX80 for £665 at Sound & Vision (This comprises £635 TV price plus £30 delivery) Although the S & V website shows delivery as free for some reason the store quoted £30 delivery, but hey, Im saving £135 and getting the 5yr warranty.

This is what you MUST do. Phone the store that you are asking JL to PM. Make sure they have the TV you`re interested in and that it is available from the store, in stock and on display.

JL will not accept to PM if the store does not have the set in stock at the actual premises and is not on display. If the store charge a delivery fee on top of the TV price then JL will add this to the price you are looking for them to match.

Bear in mind that the prices you see on the companies websites are not always the same as in the store. For example, PRC Hi-fi advertise this set for £638 but in the store it is shown as £718. JL will only accept the price in-store.

You can apply through any of the JL`s in England.

I used the JL email system Clicky

Just select your JL store of choice from the drop down menu and fill in your price match request, including the address/telephone number of the store that you're requesting the pm against, remember to leave your own address and telephone number at the end of the email as it's quite often requested.
