From a personal point of view, I still find Yamaha to be the most 'cinematic' sounding - maybe it's just what I've been brought up on.

The Anthems work really well with the R Series. I do sometimes find the R Series a little laid back for my own personal taste, but the Anthem brings them to life rather nicely.

I cant fault the Yamaha's and have owned a few myself in the past. Technically the Anthem Room Correction is tough to beat for a "correct" sound though.

. Previously had a Yamaha RXA1020 and prefer the Anthem sound and room EQ. Will consider adding a power amp at a later date. Any considerations on a speaker upgrade from Monitor Audio RX6, Centre & RXFX, will keep my SVS SB 12NSD subwoofer for time being.
