Hi,

Another issue due and another not delivered for release date. The last two issues i recieved were damaged, wet and torn. Not going to stop reading the magazine (after 9 years) but i want out of my subscription its getting silly now. How long do i have to have subscribed for to escape this?

Appreciate this isn't you all at WHF but service is awful. Ordered present from Amazon on sunday and thats arrived so not even sure its postal this time.

Thanks

Hi Cookie Monster

I'm really sorry to hear this. I fear the recent snow and transport disruption may have played its part here, but I'll pass your complaint on to our subs department and ask them to investigate.

Yep, really sorry to hear that - though (regarding this issue) I have explained elsewhere that Royal Mail have advised us of delays to distribution/delivery due to the adverse weather conditions.

I too have had Amazon parcels*, but not other post (including mag subscriptions from other publishers) - seems a real mixed bag as Royal Mail deal with backlogs and distribution issues.

As Andy says, we'll will flag up this thread to our subs team, Sorry again!

*Except a Sony TV we've bought from Amazon for review, which was supposed to be delivered yesterday and still hasn't arrived; worryingly appears to be stuck in Scunthorpe

And I'm still waiting for a Blu-ray disc ordered a week back and due to be delivered yesterday, and apparently still somewhere North of the Border, presumably on a snowed-in truck on the M8 or somewhere.

Although another disc I ordered yesterday arrived today, from a different Amazon warehouse dahn sahf.

Meanwhile i've had two Amazon and one eBay package arrive from the US

Thanks all,

Not for you all to be sorry you create a great magazine, if i didn't enjoy it so much i wouldn't get so frustrated.

Even our Postman is great, its the bit inbetween release and arrival thats the concern.

Come to mention it, i have been out and about every day this week and can't remember seeing a Postman!

May'be they are all on hols with our Refuse Collectors enjoying a bit of R&R.

Damn! Where was that shark again....

I'm not even getting Amazon parcels, let alone other mail

I have ordered 4 times from Amazon from 29th Nov through to the 4th Dec. Only one arrived so far, the item ordered on the 4th Dec.

Hi WhatHifi ...

As with Cookie Monster's opening comments I am also not going to stop reading after 16 years.

However, I am also having delivery issues which go back to well before the snow arrived.

I am still waiting for November, Awards, and December :-(

Your guys n girls on helpdesk are nice enough and helpful, but its not making the magazines appear at my door.
Perhaps a review of the overal process is in order ...?
Sending in transparent plastic would be the first thing I would recommend changing!
Hope to be reading you again soon!

I'm still waiting no snow in mid Bedfordshire and had 3 eBay deliveries this week.

My WHF finally arrived today!

Am suffering from a cold and last 3 delivery days I've been hoping to find it on the mat so I could curl up and have a good read! To be fair, this is the first problem I've had so I'll put it down to snow - and it was complete with plastic wrappy thing so not damaged

Hi Cookie Monster

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your subscription, we have been reporting delays in delivery of our magazines due to the weather. Could you please call our customer service team on 08456 777813 or email whathifi@servicehelpline.co.uk and they should be able to help further.

Trouble is, if you live an area with a dodgy sorting office there isn't much WHF can do about it. My step-son-in-law's dad worked in a major sorting office and they were sacking at least one person a week for stealing, we soon learned to send birthday cards in plain envelopes, even if there was nothing in them. All it takes is for one bad postal employee to work out when the magazine is coming through and he's got himself a free subscription.

Just in case anyone from Royal Mail is reading, since we've moved to a different area we've never had any trouble! Although our latest gas bill hasn't turned up yet, bonus!

I'm still waiting for mine latest edition, in Coventry, roads have been clear all week. This is Royal Mail, locally they are pathetic but it means postal based businesses, which I guess a signigficant proportion of your is suffers as a result. Really annoying.

Mine arrived today.

There was an article in the local paper about Leicester Royal Mail stopping deliveries due to health & safety issues with their postmen walking on ice...

After my little bout of stress yesterday my new copy of WHF turned up today.

In great condition unlike the last couple of deliveries. Visited an Asda and a Sainsbury's today and guess what - no WHF magazines. Can now see that i have been lucky.

and when i opened my copy the Fig 8 mains lead test i pleaded for was in it!!!! Thanks Clare.

Love you again now WHF.

I don't believe you can blame WHF for weather conditions as I have had to deliver for a Supermarket company groceries and it is not clever skating on ice by van let alone your own personal safety removing the items and delivering by foot.

Honestly, take where you live and conditions in context.

Who is this reply aimed at?

Personally, all I am saying is that my issue hasn't arrived yet despite Royal Mail deliveries being back to normal in my area.

Obviously there is a backlog for Royal Mail to deal with but how long do I wait without comment? If my copy has been lost in the mail and I just wait without comment, then I may not receive the mag until the February copy arrives and miss an issue completely.

Please take people's comments in context.
