Out of interest whats the different between these two merlin cables? Theres a lot of difference in the price but not much in the specs. Why the higher price for the Bach Mk3 and is it a great deal better/ worth the money?

the new Mozart £35

- 6 x Twisted HCT & IRC Copper Conductors

- RF & EM rejection

-fully screened with Aluminium Mylar foil

- fitted with Neutrik Low Mass Gold Plated RCA Plugs

Bach Mk3 £60

- 6 x Twisted HCT & IRC Copper Conductors

- RF & EM rejection

-copper foil screen

- fitted with Neutrik Low Mass Gold Plated RCA Plugs

Quite often with I/Cs the differences between models is quite small and tends to be either the amount of metal in the cable or the shielding. From what I can see on the Merlin Website, the only difference between the two cables is the shielding. I suspect it makes a decent difference.

Hi,

I forgot to add some interconnects will work better on some systems than others, system synergy is so important, for eg using my siltech interconnects on just my solid state equipment was to cold and analytical sounding but putting it with valve (warmer components) it sounded quite marvelous, of course cables may have certain characteristics.

As others mentioned try before you buy to make sure it matches your system as i have made mistakes buying certain cables and it did not work well with my system.

Cheers,

Steve.
