An old friend...

Finally found a decent stylus replacement for my dad's Technics SL-Q202 turntable, and the memories came rushing back. Spinned parts of Talking Heads' Naked and I finally remembered what the fuss is all about. You know what? To me vinyl sounds better than CD/digital. There I said it, too. There's a flow and fluidity to it that digital just lacks. To paraphrase Keith Richards, CD/digital may have the Rock, but it sure ain't got the Roll.

The thing is my cousin had to source the stylus on a work trip to Switzerland! Just couldn't find one in my country.

I like the tittle...!

I like my Lps, and I like my digital. They do sound very different, but vinyl is like coming home after a day of work and you just want to sit a bit on the couch and put your feet on the coffee table... It just feels right!
