It is my daughter's 16th birthday party this evening and she will be using her ipod as a music source, she has an ipod speaker to plug it into but I don't think it will be loud enough....if I buy a doc can I plug into my amp?

Cheers

You mean an apple or cambridge dock or suchlike, like this?

Yes. Be aware of which particular output socket the dock you buy has - some have normal left/right RCA sockets, so can use normal interconnects, some have headphone outs, so need a 3.5mm Jack to 2xRCA cable.

Course, you could just use a headphone jack to RCA cable anyway, and miss out the dock if it's a one off (though make sure it's fully charged obv).

If it's still not loud enough, play some Motorhead.

You know it makes sense...

She does actually like Motorhead........and the Pink Fairies..........and Mars Volta....it will be a loud night

I have a basic Tescos own brand ipod doc and the phono outs feed straight into my amp. Not sure about the quality but then Lemmy is incoherent at the best of times!
