Am I right in thinking that I can use mono power amps to drive the bass, and the mid/treble in my speakers? ie two mono amps for each speaker, being fed from a single pre-amp?

if that is the case, which does everyone think would give best results..... Project s mono ampsx4 with Project pre all coming in a retail of £1100, or spending the same on an integrated amp?

not that I'm thinking of buying anything just now.... Only wondering....

In general I'd say better to spend the money on a good integrated. A big slug of the cost of those monoblocs will go on the casework. Cheaper to buy an amp in one case.

Project do a superb little integrated, the stereo box rs. I thought it sounded superb in the context of the system heard.
