Dear all
I'm hoping to draw on the wonderful expertise of the What Hi-Fi collective - to advise on a new stereo amplifier.
In the lounge I currently I have a Denon PMA-700AE paired with a set of Kef Q1 speakers. Sound quality here has always been good, but not great. It's too heavy on bass, and I seem to be missing the clarity and crispness. Possibly the room is too small.
For the dining room I have just acquired a new set of Mordaunt Short M20 speakers, and am looking for a good amplifier to run them from the family PC (iTunes etc.).
So, any advice for a good amp to run the Mordaunts? Or do you think I would be better to use the Denon for the Mordaunts and get a new amp for the Kefs?
Budget is probably low-medium (under £300).
Looking forward to the wisdom!
Cheers, Ben
