I have a CD player from a midi system that I now want to use in conjunction with an old, 1976, Sony amp. Can I simply add via the Tuner or Tape input?

does the midi amplifier not have a power off switch?

there is not a separate power switch to the amp in the midi system - just an on/off for the thing as a whole

Come to think of it if the CD has a phono output then the amplifier in the midi system should not come into play and it's not actually attached to any speakers is it?

Still not too sure why he wants signal to go through the Sony amp
