 ,

I have a lovely Denon AH-D2000, it's amped by my Atoll IN30-amp. At the moment I'm thinking about getting a real headphone amp. My source a Vincent CD-S3, so no DAC is needed. I was thinking of the Firestone Cute Beyond or something in that price-range. Is that a good choice? Are there better matches for my Denon?

I thank you in advance,

J.G.

(Sorry if my english is not that good, I'm from Belgium ;-) )

Oh, and I'm not really into tube-amps, 'cause I want my music as neutral as possible. I heard a lot of good things about the Little Dot MKIII, but that's not what I'm looking for I guess...

I would like to be able to listen at very low volume but with all the detail and expression in the music.

Thanks

Hi J G

I took the plunge and got an Aune Headphone amp/dac off of ebay for £96 delivered for my Denons and I'm really enjoying them. Cannot comment on other amps but more than happy with my choice.

The cute beyond is Probably a good choice. You can also change opamps on it, it really improves when using the right ones. Take a look at this. The cute beyond is Probably a good choice. You can also change opamps on it, it really improves when using the right ones.
