Its biggest problem is limited apps and Amazon centric operation, however if you can put up with this then it is a cracking piece of kit.
I personally I would go with the Roku 4K stick (Same price) as it has a separate airiel built into the power lead for a more solid performance, as well as more comprehensive apps with no preference given too them, and while it doesn't have DV etc. most serious viewing is done by a projector, so is irrelevant anyway. (From the description in the review you did on the cheaper Roku it obviously had serious Wi-Fi problems hence such a poor picture quality)

Hang on, in June 2024 this article has appeared as being ‘Updated’ in ‘Latest Reviews’. But it is a review of the old (pre-2023) Fire Stick 4K that is no longer available except in refurbished form?
If so, what is the point in it being ‘updated’?

Amazon has partnered with Xbox Cloud Gaming. I thought this was what the update was going to be about, rather than just another shameless plug for Cr-Apple TV 4K. Anyway, the stick is now a great games console, as well as everything else.
